Rodney Hinton
Executive Director
Rodney Hinton is a seasoned leader in the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) industry, currently serving as Executive Director of Palmetto Air & Water Balance, a company he has helped shape since its inception with his wife Penny in 1989. In August 2024, Rodney transitioned from his role as CEO to Executive Director, focusing on leading the company’s initiatives to partner with other TAB and Critical Environment testing businesses. His move aims to expand Palmetto’s footprint and capabilities in the industry.
Rodney holds certifications as a Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) from the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), a Commissioning Authority (CxA) and Certified Professional for Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB), Building Systems Commissioning (BSC) and Building Enclosure Testing (BET) from the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB).
With Rodney’s leadership and guidance, Palmetto has grown to operate 22 offices across South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, and Arizona with over 220 team members. Rodney’s commitment to excellence and his people-first approach have been central to Palmetto’s success. His ongoing role as Executive Director ensures that the company’s growth and culture remain aligned with its core values.
